The penis is the male sex organ that is part of the male reproductive system and urinary system Penis has three primary functions: reproduction, sex, and urination.
What is epispadias?
It is the rare congenital defect or abnormality that involves the opening of the urethra. The urethra opens on the top of the penis rather than the tip of the penis.
What is Hypospadias?
It is a common birth defect where the urethra is not located at the tip of the penis.
What are the signs & symptoms: of Hypospadias?
- The urethral opening is found on the dorsum of the penis.
- Downward urine spray
- Downward curvature of the penis.
What is Paraphimosis?
This happens when the foreskin gets stuck behind the head of the penis. It can’t be pulled back down into a normal position. It is common in boys and older men. It is considered a medical emergency.
Paraphimosis The signs and symptoms include
- Inability to pull the foreskin back over the head of the penis.
- Swelling of the end of the penis.
- Pain and discomfort
- Redness
- Inability to urinate
