Birthing is a beautiful, natural, responsible and an ecstatic act where life begets life. It\u2019s is the most beautiful expression of womanhood and celebrates one\u2019s \u201cbeing a woman.\u201d Unfortunately, our society questions that too? The piece I will recite just encompasses the trials and tribulations, women undergo since ages and times immemorial the subtle\u00a0 societal changes which are somewhat visible now and these become \u201cthe moments\u201d\u00a0that need to be celebrated.<\/p>\n
The poem: Divine Pain <\/strong><\/p>\n She whiz passes the same crowded lane,<\/p>\n At the crack of dawn with the whining pain.<\/p>\n Holding her hand, and not beholding her face,<\/p>\n The world walks beside her with a sullen, lowered gaze,<\/p>\n Soaked in thoughts, as if, trapped, as if, in a convoluted maze.<\/p>\n It is the umpteenth time, her being woman,\u2019 is yet \u00a0again \u00a0at stake;<\/p>\n Will she be blessed? Her legacy is intact. Will she get her heavens back?<\/p>\n Stupefied, half alive, in half daze is she<\/p>\n Harbinger of hope? Or the curse of destiny?<\/p>\n Voices she hears loud, reverberating in the air.<\/p>\n Will God be kind? Will we get an heir?<\/p>\n She lies low, doubled in pain, her body all \u00a0ears,<\/p>\n Just a bundle of hope, drenched in a pool of tears.<\/p>\n The womb, weak with pain, limp, numb and coy<\/p>\n Ready to explode, dunno, with some sorrow or some joy??<\/p>\n Silence shrieks aloud, just a moment it\u2019s about\u2026\u2026.<\/p>\n Is it sorrow?\u00a0 Is it joy?<\/p>\n Tell me for once. Is it a girl or is it a boy?<\/p>\n Ethereal, ephemeral that true moment is there!!!<\/p>\n Tell me for once. Did we get an heir? Tell me for once. Did we get an heir?<\/p>\n At that moment, descending on the nether is some honeydew,<\/p>\n Pulsating, shiny head with that same beautiful hue,<\/p>\n Small palms, tiny feet, the fingers entwined,<\/p>\n The angelic smile and the large limpid eyes<\/p>\n The sound, the light, the laughter, the din,<\/p>\n All settle down, just a\u00a0\u00a0 gloomy resonance within.<\/p>\n And then the same words slip down the corners of the lips with a quiver,<\/p>\n Did we get an heir? Tell us for once? Did we get an heir?<\/p>\n The silence so loud, no words to hear, the glistening eyes with drops of tear<\/p>\n Are signs enough for that pain to forbear, oh !! God, you aren’t kind, We didn\u2019t get an heir?<\/p>\n The heaving, womb with ruptures and an abating breath, lies waiting for only the heavens to cheer !!!<\/p>\n No trepidation, no fear, no qualms, no worries, no tumult, no clamor, just a sheen of light, amidst the \u00a0halo of the beckoning future<\/p>\n You all got a girl!! You got an heir! God has been kind!!
