So in order to prevent as well as ease out the suffering, some basic knowledge about Herpes is essential.<\/p>\n<p>HSV is of two types &#8211; type 1 and type 2.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How is Herpes transmitted?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>HSV-1 or oral herpes<\/strong> affects mainly the mouth\/lips and spreads by sharing utensils, toothbrushes, cosmetics specifically lipsticks or kissing an infected individual.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HSV-2 or genital herpes<\/strong> is the naughtier one affecting the genitals\/rectum and spreads by <a href=\"http:\/\/drsafehands.com\/\">sexual contact<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Herpes infections are most contagious when symptoms are present but can still be transmitted to others in the absence of symptoms.<\/p>\n<p>These smart bugs can stay dormant in our bodies for long periods of time waiting for an opportunity to attack.Conditions, such as the ones below,\u00a0 canreactivate the latent virus and cause a herpetic outbreak:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stress<\/li>\n<li>Any acute illness<\/li>\n<li>Excessive exertion<\/li>\n<li>Trauma to the affected area<\/li>\n<li>Low immunity due to strong medications or steroids<\/li>\n<li>Menstruation<\/li>\n<li>Multiple sexual partners<\/li>\n<li>Sex at a very young age<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These viruses are very faithful and committed and will never leave your body , once you are infected. They live in your nerve cells hidden somewhere .So once you are infected by HSV, you are infected for life.<\/p>\n<p>When HSV is dormant, there are no visible signs or symptoms.
